Nagbal, ACE Club win Shopian Volleyball titles

Shopian, Sept 28: Nagbal Club boys and ACE Volleyball Club in girls section emerged champions in the District Shopian Volleyball Championship
which held under the aegis of Volleyball Association of J&K.
In the finals, played today, Nagbal Club defeated Valley Skikers Woyen 3-1 (27-25, 25-21, 20-25, 25-22). Similarly in girls section, ACE Volleyball
Club beat Government Degree College (GDC) Shopian in straight sets.
Earlier, 12 teams in boys and four in girls section took part in this championship which was sponsored by the J&K Sports Council.
In the finals and prize distribution function, DDC Chairman Shopian, Irfan Manhas was chief guest, who in the presence of Prof.Tariq Hussain Mir,
Vice Principal GDC Shopian and Nilofer Habib, secretary Volleyball Association Kulgam, gave away the title trophies and other individual prizes.
Among others present were Aashaq Hussain Wani, Hadaitullah, Bilal Ahad, Parvaize Ahmad Yarbash, Prof. Umar and Syed Latif (PTI GDC
Shopian).
