J&K administration sacks 4 more employees for involvement in anti-national activities

Srinagar, Aug 13 (KNO): The administration of & Union Territory on Saturday sacked four government employees including a female KAS officer, an assistant professor and a scientist on charges of their involvement in secessionist and anti- activities.

The General Administration Department today issued separate orders to terminate services of  Assabah-ul-Arjamand Khan (Jammu &  Kashmir Administrative Service officer), Dr. Muheet Ahmad Bhat (scientist-D in post-graduate department of computer science, University of Kashmir), Majid Hussain Qadri (senior assistant professor, department of Management studies, University of Kashmir) and Syed Abdul Mueed(manager, IT, JKEDI).

While Assabah-ul-Arjamand Khan is wife of former JKLF militant commander Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karate, Mueed is son of United Jehad Council chief Syed Saluhuddin.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that these employees were sacked under Article 311 of the Constitution of for their involvement in anti-national activities.

“The activities of these employees had come to the adverse notice of law enforcement and intelligence agencies, as they have been found involved in activities prejudicial to the interests of the security of the State,” he said.

Article 311 of the Constitution of India, provides for dismissal of a person employed in civil capacities under Union or a State.

In the past two years, more than 40 government employees have been terminated by J&K administration on charges of being involved in anti-national activities—(KNO)
