Ayurveda growing in credibilty worldwide

In order to crack the knowledge of  inner structure

and utilising the beneficial properties of a plant and herb what is required is to have its ‘Genome Sequencing'. There is news that which gained much limelight in corona days  the genome sequencing of that giloy  has successfully been done. And who contributed in this great work are the scientists of Bhopal based  Indian Institute of Science and Research[ IISER]. It is said that now onward the new ways will be opened up for the treatment of cancer, diabetes, mental and skin ailments from the giloy composed of many a medicinal property.
Of course the giloy has been in use in Ayurveda  medicines since the inception of this indigenous therapy. But people got to know about it only when Baba Ramdev in his programmes told about its rare medicinal properties and emphasized for bringing it into daily life.  Truth of the matter is that  accounts for more than half of the herbs produced in the over. But attention in real sense toward this was paid for the first time only when in the year 2000 a separate national policy was drafted under Atal Bihai Bajpai led NDA government  for the Indian  medical therapies. Under which unprecedented work of bringing Ayurveda and Unani therapy under the category of    Harit uddhog [Green organic-industry]  was done.  And then only National Medicinal Plant Board  grew conscious about  the chalking out specific policy for the conservation and breeding of  aanwla, chandan[sandalwood], ashwagandha and such others herbs and plants to be used in  Ayurveda. And it is only during Atal's govt.  that the First ‘Global Ayurveda and Herbal Mela' was organised , which made the world medical fraternity know what  an unique asset of its own India has to offer them. In the event  2500 representatives of 50 countries including USA, Switzerland, South Africa, Denmark, Canada took the participation.
In Ayurveda balanced consideration for  both physical and spiritual aspect of human life is made. With the healthy body, the control over the mind and spiritual consciousness  is, therefore, taken care of in that. And that's why Yogasanas are seen to be ingrained with Ayurveda. This only is the integrated approach to the wellness that  Ayurveda is known for.  Vegetarianism has great role to play in gaining immunity, which   Ayurveda integrated in its way of treatment prominently. On the other hand the world is no longer unaware of the property of enhancing immunity consists in giloy, shatavari, ashwagandha, tulsi, kali mirch such other herbs to be used in Ayurveda, hence such a boost  in the export of Ayurveda medicines is there to see. Today in around 90 countries there are considerable numbers of people preferring Ayurveda medicines for the care. In recent time the export of Ayurveda products worldwide increased to 45%, which is enough to understand that how extent world showed its trust on Ayurveda.  Behind the making of Ayurveda globally popular the role of NDA government will always be appreciated. When Narendra Modi came to hold the post PM, Ayurveda got separate Ayush ministry. Where ever Modi went in the world he struck deal for the promotion of Indian traditional medicines. Besides he initiated Ayush call centres in Indian embassies. All this efforts collectively brought the day when this year  WHO recognised  India being the ‘Centre for Global-Wellness'.
Notably, 15-20 years back we refused to rely— in the views of  many to the extent of contempt— on our own traditional knowledge concerning  wellness of health. I still remember that few years back I had to go to  a dentist for the treatment of teeth. Advising me for the root-canal therapy, he asked as to which toothpaste I used. As I mentioned the name of an Ayurveda toothpaste, he instantly replied, ‘Throw it away from the window of bathroom.' In what is called all strictness he prescribed for me the toothpaste of popular brand with allopath based inorganic contents. Ironically, the things have changed today. In order to remain stayed in the market as before even the biggest of the brands are made to bring the herbal brands, assuring the customers that it is also composed of clove, basil and such other Ayurveda  contents. Last days in the newspaper I got to read the remedy of stomach pain and gastric trouble—‘In all over the day take at least 2 litres water. Do yoga and light exercise, and  take a walk for 10-15 minutes after the meal. Consume black pepper; drink buttermilk, adding into it black salt and celeries. Boil the leaves of mint in water, and consume the solution. After the lunch take the lemon juice with water; or papaya.' Make not the mistake of assuming that this being advised by some Ayurveda  doctor. This was advised by none other than the allopath doctor, S.K Mundra, HOD internal medicine, Saroj Super-speciality Hospital, New Delhi.
