Army organised a lecture to spread awareness about “Empowerment of Women” at Govt Girls High School, Harni in Poonch. The emphasis of the lecture was to spread awareness about importance of women and the need to provide opportunities and equal rights to them not only in terms of career growth but also in other fields of education, health care, employment etc.
The lecture covered aspects of various programmes being run by the Central and State Government and also various job opportunities / self employment venues available in state and the country. Large number of students, teachers and civilian populace attended the event and the efforts of the Army was appreciated in creating awareness on the importance of women in Society & Nation. The aim to spread the message that ‘Strong Women make a Strong Country' was thus achieved.
