JU announces online payment of fee

Tawi, June 24: In a significant decision aims at providing big relief to student community, University of Jammu on Monday announced online payment system for examination and other fees for various purposes from July 1. This was announced by Professor Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, here while chairing a high level meeting.”From 1st of July 2019, the University of Jammu is going to receive examination fees through online mode to facilitate the public in general and the student community in particular. The decision will definitely provide big relief to students who used to wait in long queues for depositing their fee,” the Vice Chancellor said. There has been long pending demand of the students, scholars and the civil society at large that the students from flung areas have to come to University of Jammu just to deposit the fee and it used to cause a lot of inconvenience to the students. Moreover, Students and their parents used to face a lot of hurdles in terms of getting their fee first marked from respective sections and thereafter used to stand in long queues to deposit the fee in the bank.
Keeping these hardships of the students in mind, the University initiated the process of developing a platform few months ago.To streamline the system under the guidance of Prof Kulwant Singh, Controller of Examinations,University of Jammu, the Computer professional in the examination wing created a software which students can assess from any part of the country and deposit their fee. Professor Dhar said the students now can deposit their examination, revaluation fee and all other date independent fee like revival of registration, migration certificate, correction in particulars, verification of degree, provisional certificate and duplicate marks certificate etc through online mode. It is pertinent to mention here that examination and revaluation fee for UG (CBCS) IV semester for private candidates will be received online from tomorrow.
