India's premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah was today ruled out of upcoming Test series against South Africa due to stress fracture in his lower back. He has been replaced by Umesh Yadav.
In a release, the BCCI said Bumrah's injury was detected during a routine radiological screening. He will now undergo rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy at Bengaluru and will be monitored by the BCCI Medical Team.
The three-match Test series will begin in Visakhapatnam from October 2.
