DDC discusses action plan for PP immunization

To discuss the action plan for the Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) Programme, a District Level Task Force Committee meeting was held here today with the District Development Commissioner Mohammad Younus Malik in the chair.
The District Development Commissioner stressed on the officers of the Department to make foolproof arrangements to make the immunisation programme a big success. He insisted upon the officers to mobilize their men and machinery and make the vaccination teams robust and effective. He also directed the officers to involve the ICDS Workers, Volunteers, NGOs, civil society members, village level committees to make the programme successful.
The Deputy CMO, Dr SM Indrabi informed the meeting about the action plan for the immunisation to be held on February 3, 2019 to immunize 139239 children of 0-5 year age .
He said the campaign will be carried out by 2600 team members (1321 Health Workers, 783 ASHA workers and 438 Anganwadi workers) through 650 vaccination booths including 5 High Risk Area Booths, 14 transit booths to be setup in the district. The Health Department will also deploy 130 supervisors for the purpose.
