Action plan for De-worming campaign reviewed

Ganderbal, March 18

Deputy Commissioner Hashmat Ali Khan today convened a meeting of District Department to review the action plan and preparations for De-worming Day (NDD) campaign to be held on March 20.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr R D Kasana briefed the DC about the action plan for the campaign. He said that 1.62 lakh children between 1 to 19 years of age enrolled in various schools and Anganwadi Centers in the district will be administered de-worming drug (Albendazole). The children who could not be de-wormed on National Deworming Day shall be administered the drug on Mop-up Day on March 26, 2019, he added.
The DC urged Health Department to make deworming drug abundantly available in all Government/private schools and Anganwadi centers in the district to make the campaign successful.
Others present on the occasion were ADDC Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, CDPO, DHO, BMOs and other concerned officials.
