Move employees holding accommodations at Srinagar are to line-up first for clearances/NOCs

Date:

Srinagar, July 28:In a prompt follow-up action to the final extended time given to the Darbar Move employees to vacate the government accommodation by August 19, 2021 vide Govt Order 657 dated 27.07.2021 both at and Srinagar, the Deputy Director, Estates, Division has taken a lead by issuing an order today to the employees holding Move accommodation at Srinagar to apply for the clearance certificates and for issuance of NOCs well before the time of vacation deadline.

The order is obviously directed towards the move employees from Jammu region who are holding accommodations at different location like Tulsi Bagh, Magharmal Bagh, Bemina, Partap Park, Jawahar Nagar, Budshah Chowk, Natipora, Pampore, Rawalpora, SF Road and in different Hotel accommodations. Employees based at Jammu have expressed their unhappiness over such a hurry shown by the Estate department of Kashmir to get rid of them.

However, no such promptness is shown by Estate Department in Jammu Division where the Move employees and many other favoured persons from from Kashmir are holding government accommodation in various localities like Gandhi Nagar, Panjtirthi, Ahata Amar Singh, Ambphalla, Subash Nagar, Kacchi Chowni, Dak Bangalow, Residency Road, Dalpatian, Jammu Stadium vicinity, Kabir Nagar and other locations.

Attempts to enquire about any similar prompt move by the Deputy Director, Estate Jammu could not materialize as the officer has kept his phone 7780898299 on call-forwarding and eventually not available.

The Jammu and Kashmir government Tuesday extended the time period for vacating government accommodations by Darbar Move employees in Jammu and Srinagar by 30 days with effect from July 20 which would end on August 19.

Besides, the Estates Department had been asked to devise a proper mechanism for issuing NOCs in favour of such employees in Srinagar and Jammu.

Later, on June 29, the Estates Department accordingly issued an order asking the Move employees to vacate the government accommodations within 21 days.
