The MoE, however, also said that the challenges remain in reducing regional disparities and inequalities among secondary school-age students from different socioeconomic backgrounds.

The MoE requested the Jammu and Kashmir authorities to analyze the learning outcomes and provide interventions to improve learning outcomes of the students.

It also said that more access to learning opportunities was needed to improve the learning and skills at all level and protection for children in emergencies.

Besides, the MoE also said that the states and Union Territories (UTs) across may also continue to plan the Alternative Academic Calendar in its present form that will give learning solutions for grades I to XII for both—a child with device and one without device.

MoE said, “This can be strengthened by connecting item banks, assessment and role of parents with the Alternative academic calendar.”
