Jammu Tawi: To inculcate the spirit of staying healthy, Army organised interaction session with youth on merits of Physical Fitness. Army organised a Volleyball Match and Awareness lecture on “Importance of Physical Fitness” at Block Doongi in District Rajouri (J&K). Understanding the benefits of physical fitness, implementing physical activities, healthy dietary parameters help in maintaining good health and improving overall quality of life. Physical fitness results in strong bones, seamless cardio vascular functions, strong muscles which results in better health and reduces risk of several diseases like blood pressure, diabetes. Its arrests stress and makes one feel better. The event commenced with Volleyball match between locals and Army followed by lecture on physical fitness. The enthusiasm displayed by the participants indicated that the awareness lecture has a long lasting impact on youth towards physical fitness. With dedicated practices they will channelise their energy towards spreading positively in society. A large number of youth attended the event.
