JK BJP President appeals non- locals not to leave Kashmir

Date:

Tawi, Oct 18 (UNI): Against the backdrop of targeted killings in the Valley, Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina on Monday appealed to non-locals not to leave Kashmir and collectively fight against nefarious designs conspired by Pakistan.

So far in the month of October, 11 civilians including five non-local residents have been killed by the terrorists in Kashmir valley.

J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina in a message on social media while appealing to the non-locals on Monday said that the Pakistan-sponsored terrorist outfits are frustrated because the Army, Police and Paramilitary forces have tightened a noose against them and many of their top commanders are also neutralized.

“Targeted civilian killings is a well planned conspiracy hatched by Pakistan to create fear psychosis among our brothers and sisters working in Kashmir from states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, , Madhya Pradesh and ,” said Rana.

He added that the security forces are giving a befitting reply to the terrorists and many have been eliminated.

“Modi government has given a free hand to the security forces, which resulted in operation clean out,” said Mr Raina, adding that everyone has to collectively thwart nefarious designs of Pakistan.

“I want to appeal to all non-locals, not to flee or leave Kashmir, but let us collectively fight against them in the interest of the country,” said Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief.

Meanwhile, one of the non-local women from Chhattisgarh, who had reached Jammu from Srinagar said that Kashmir is not a ‘heaven' but ‘hell'.

“For us, Kashmir is not a heaven but ‘hell'. We left Kashmir to save our lives and will never go back,” she told reporters.

“We will work in Chhattisgarh, Punjab or Haryana, to feed our families. We have families at our native places and they are worried after hearing news of killings,” she said and claimed that nobody from the administration supported them despite repeated requests.

However, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) held a demonstration against targeted killings in Kashmir and Pakistan for supporting and promoting terrorism in .

The protest demonstration was led by its president Arun Prabhat Singh.

Raising slogans against Pakistan, the BJYM activists condemned Pakistan for its brutal act.

Mr Prabhat said the brutal targeted killings by terrorists, is another example of cowardness of Pakistan and its sponsored terrorist outfits.

“This terrorist act will not suppress nationalist voices in the valley and the rising popularity of a nationalist party like the BJP among the people of the Valley,” he added.

“These are the cowardly acts by terrorists, which would only reaffirm the BJP workers' determination and to help Prime Minister Narendra Modi realize the dream of taking Jammu and Kashmir to new heights,” he added.

In a separate protest, All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC), a frontline registered organisation of elected PRI members, also staged a protest against the killings of minority community members in Valley and urged the BJP-led central government to take stern action against the culprits of heinous crime.

Led by Anil Sharma, UT president of AJKPC, scores of Sarpanches and Panches gathered outside the headquarters of the organisation here at Circular road and staged demonstrations against the selective killings of civilians.

They demanded that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi should seriously look into the issue and direct authorities concerned for immediate stringent measures to ensure that killings of innocent people are stopped.

The protestors also raised slogans against Pakistan and said that the neighbouring country had been fomenting trouble in Jammu and Kashmir by creating fear psychosis among the minorities living in Kashmir Valley through proxy war.
