I-Day arrangements finalized in Reasi

REASI, AUGUST 12: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today chaired a meeting to finalise the arrangements Independence Day celebrations.

The DC reviewed arrangements for security, seating plan, installation of PAS, barricading, power, drinking water, refreshment for school children, transport, illumination of important government buildings  and other necessary arrangements. He called for duly following Flag codes and Covid SOPs during the celebration, besides felicitation of Covid warriors.

It was informed in the meeting that the main event would be held at Stadium starting with the Flag hoisting at 8:55 AM sharp followed by inspection of parade by the Chief Guest. Seven contingents will take part in the march past. Concerned officers informed the chair that all the necessary arrangements have been done for the smooth conduct of the national event.

The department was asked to make availability of medical facilities including  ambulance with specialist Doctors, arrangement of masks and sanitizers, mandatory RT-PCR testing of all the Participants including thermal screening of those entering stadium.

The ARTO and traffic police was asked to identify space for parking of vehicles. It was informed that space for parking of vehicles have been identified at Kamal Kishore Chowk and inside the Mini Secretariat Complex.

The DC directed different departments to submit the detail of any recently completed Project so that same could be inaugurated on the eve of 75th Independence Day.

He exhorted upon the officers to complete their assigned tasks to make this year Independence Day celebration a memorable event. Further, it was informed that Independence Day will be celebrated in each and every Panchayat and Youth clubs will hold flag hoisting.
