Jammu Tawi: Counselling Cell Directorate of School Education Jammu in collaboration with Hema Foundation organized an expert talk on the topic – ‘Imbibing Patriotic Values Among Youth'.
The renowned psychologist of India Dr. Chinu Aggarwal was the expert speaker at the event held as part of 75th Independence Day Celebration.
Prof. Arti Bakshi, Head, Department of Psychology, University of Jammu was the special invitee on the occasion.
Hema Foundation is a philanthropic arm of the Ram Ratna Group, working towards imparting Cultural & Moral education to children at a very impressionable young age. It looks to enlighten children about the key roles played by parents and society in shaping them into fine individuals.
Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma emphasized on organising similar events and said that socializing students into a patriotic culture is one of the essential duties of elders and youngsters imbibe the habits and actions of the older generations. Teaching by being an example yourself is the best method to interact with students, he added.
Prof. Arti Bakshi, Head, Department of Psychology, University of Jammu presented the psychological perspective on the issue and highlighted the role of patriotic values in building the character of a nation.
Dr. Chinu Aggarwal, Psychologist, Psychotherapist & trustee Hema Foundation highlighted the importance of patriotic values. She said that feeling patriotic and the act of patriotism are the things to make a stronger nation and a patriotic spirit is one of fortitude and strength.
