DSEJ holds declamation contest

Tawi: Directorate of School Jammu today organised a declamation session on the topic ‘ Dandi March' and ‘Swadeshi Movement' in which more than 7500 students of 150 schools of all the 10 districts of Jammu division participated.

The event was held through virtual mode under the supervision of Chief Education Officers at district level and Zonal Education Officers at the Zonal level along with the Nodal officers of the Cultural and Education Cell of the Directorate.

The event was organised to familiarize the students with the Independence Movement of so that they can cherish the ideals of the freedom struggle. The enthusiasm and commitment  of the participants was visible when they turned up dressed up as their favorite leaders from the Dandi March and Swadeshi Movement and presented their views to the amazement and excitement of the viewers.

The Directorate of School Education is commemorating the upcoming 75th Independence Day by organising a 15 day long series of events and today's declamation session was part of the initiative that started on 1st of August, 2021.

Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma expressed his pleasure at the spirit displayed by the participating students and appreciated their skill and talent. He wished them well for future life and advised them to work diligently towards achieving greater heights and bringing glory to the nation.
