Driver killed as dumper rolls down into 400 feet gorge in J&K’s Banihal

On Friday, a dumper slid down into a 400-foot-deep canyon at Chamalwas in the Ramban region of & , killing one person.

A police official said the driver of the dumper was critically injured in the mishap following which he was shifted to sub-district hospital Banihal where he was declared dead on arrival.

The deceased was identified as Reyaz Ahmad Lohar (35), son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Lohar, a resident of Chamalwas Banihal.

The dumper was involved in the highway construction work.
