DDC finalizes I-Day arrangements in Pulwama

PULWAMA, AUGUST 12: The District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary today chaired a meeting of district officers and representatives of security agencies to review and finalise the arrangements for 75th Independence Day 2021 here.

The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at District Police lines Pulwama, whereas similar functions would also be held at Police lines Awantipora and at all Tehsil headquarters.

It was informed that the contingents of JKP, CRPF, Home Guard, students of government and private schools will participate in the march past parade. Meanwhile employees who have done exemplary work will be awarded certificates of appreciation and prizes.

The DC stressed upon the hoisting of Flag at all prominent Govt Offices particularly in all Panchayats. He also directed all District Officers to ensure the participation of all Government employees in the celebrations.

The DC directed the officials to ensure adequate security arrangements, parking facilities and proper seating arrangements as per the guidelines issued by authorities at the venue, besides ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply.

He also directed the department to set up an adequate number of medical camps with proper staff, ambulance and Medicare facilities at the respective venues where Independence Day functions will be held in the district.

Officials of the Municipal Committee were directed to maintain cleanliness in and around District Police lines, roads, and streets in the town.

The DC called for close coordination among the concerned departments for smooth and peaceful conduct of the Independence Day.
