Saddened over the death, President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan as per a statement said it is a great loss to the medical fraternity and his death has resulted in a great void in the field of medicine.

“A medical luminary, Dr Masoodi graduated from GMC Srinagar and after completing his post graduation joined GMC Srinagar and became head of the community medicine,” he said.

Dr Hassan said he was instrumental in shaping up the department of community medicine at GMC Srinagar.

“His contributions in the field of community medicine will be remembered for a long time,” he said. “Currently, he was working as professor and head of community medicine at GMC Anantnag,” he added.

The DAK President said during his professional career he worked as Medical Superintendent of SMHS hospital, Bone and Joint hospital and GB pant hospital.
