CRPF observes Vigilance awareness week

Tawi: CRPF Group Centre, Jammu today organized a programme to celebrate vigilance awareness week under the supervision of Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIG, GCCRPF Jammu. The aim of the Vigilance awareness week is to make common citizens and Govt. employees aware of the ill effects of corruption. The theme of Vigilance awareness week has been kept as “Independent @75thself Reliance with Integrity. Pertinent to mention that all Jammu based CRPF units and establishments are observing the Vigilance Awareness Week from 26/10/2021 to 01/11/2021. The officers and personnel of CRPF in all units and establishments pledged to follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life, to neither take nor offer bribe, to perform all tasks in an honest and transparent manner and be accountable to all their actions, to take decisions objectively and impartially, to act in public interest, to lead by example exhibiting integrity in personal behaviour and to report any incident of corruption to the appropriate agency.       At the outset of vigilance awareness week, the officers and Jawans were administered the pledge by Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant. Speaking on the occasion, he briefed all about the “ Independent India@75th Self Reliance with integrity. He said that corruption is a major obstacle in the economic, political and social Progress of the country. To eradicate corruption, there is a need for common citizens, Govt employees and private sector employees to work together. Every citizen should be alert and be committed to the higher standard of honesty and integrity and should support the fight against corruption. For effective prevention of corruption in the country, public awareness has to be spread among the common citizens, government employees and officials.
