Jammu Tawi: Apni Party, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh today said that BJP has been exposed for its false promises and hollow slogans that people of Jammu and Kashmir will get employment, economic prosperity and boost in tourism sector with the abrogation of special status of erstwhile State.
He was speaking at a party function organised by Razak Malik, Provincial Vice President Youth Wing to felicitate the newly appointed Youth Wing leaders. On this occasion, many youth also joined the Apni Party's Youth Wing.
Manjit Singh welcomed them into the party and hoped that their joining would strengthen the party.
Speaking on the occasion, he said “Contrary to the promises made by BJP, we do not see any job being advertised by the Government in the last three years except for class 4 level jobs. The unemployment has increased among the youth and the recruitment in Government service to various departments has declined.”
He also criticized the administration for its negligence of Jammu and its tourism sector which is struggling to survive on its own without any effort from the department concerned.
The Former Minister Manjit Singh said that it was unfortunate to note that tourism sites are not being developed nor any effort is made to attract the tourists in Jammu and other parts of the region.
Meanwhile, Youth Wing State Vice President, and Media Coordinator, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan said that the disappointment and alienation among the youth has grown due to the hollow slogans of the ruling political party.
Khan said that “We have planned a district wise awareness programme among the youth to restore confidence among them at a time when they are surrounded with an uncertain future. We will work for the youth as they are the future of Jammu and Kashmir and the Nation.”
State General Secretary, Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya said that “Apni Party believes in strengthening the youth and restoring faith among them that we can represent their aspirations.”
