3-Day Hockey tournament commences at Udhampur

Udhampur, Oct 01: A three day Hockey tournament in the age group of 19 to 35 years under “My Youth My Pride” initiative
was organized today by Council unit Udhampur here at Subhash Stadium.
Preeti Khajuria, Councillor Ward number-1 and President Hockey Association District Udhampur were the chief guests at the
opening ceremony as they declared the tournament open. District Information Officer, Udhampur Rajinder Kumar Digra was the
guest of honour, while Chief Coach (Former Ranji Trophy Player) and Manager Subash Stadium,Udhampur Naveen Sharma
presided over the function.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest & Guest of Honour interacted with the participants and extended their best
wishes to players & inspired them to give their best performance in the competition. They said that sports activities help the
youth to channelize their energy in a positive way and inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship & brotherhood.
Later, Manager Subash Stadium presented Cricket Bat as token of love to District Information Officer Rajinder Digra
(JKAS )for his love for cricket and contribution towards promotion of sports.
