Salaries of new appointees of Govt Jobs put on hold until CID verification

Tawi, Mar 4 : In a move to curb corruption and fake entries through illegal means in Govt , the J&K administration today directed the Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, DCs and head of departments to ensure no new entrant in the Govt Service is paid salary, allowances till verification by the CID.

 

The move comes after reports of several J&K Govt Employees including JKAS Officers appointed on fake documents.

 

In some cases in , employees have not even appeared for the examination of the posts and have been directly appointed through illegal channels.

 

A circular issued by the Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi stated that some “dubious characters have been paid salaries and other allowances, without obtaining their mandatory CID verification”.

 

The officers concerned have been asked to identify such cases and ensure that their verification is completed expeditiously.
