Basharat to take care of Horticulture, Drabu loses

Srinagar, Feb 17: In a minor reshuffle of portfolios the newly inducted minister Syed Altaf Bukhari has been given the much important Education portfolio which was till now held by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's top confident Naeem Akhtar who has been now moved assigned the Public Works ministry.

As per the circular issued by General Administration, Abdul Rahman Veeri, who was holding Public Works has been given the port folios of Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Disaster Management.

The portfolio of Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Disaster Management was held by Syed Basharat Bukhari till today and in the latest reshuffle of portfolio he has been allotted Horticulture Department.

With this the Chief Minister has bifurcated the production department. Now Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura will hold the portfolio of Agriculture Department only.

Another senior minister Dr. Haseeb Drabu has been stripped off the portfolio of Culture which the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has retained with herself.
