Proclamation for President’s Rule in J&K anytime today

The Union Cabinet, in its late evening meeting on Monday, cleared the Governor's recommendation for imposition of President Rule in and . The Centre Government's recommendation was sent to Rashtrapati Bhawan for the approval of President, Sh. Ram Nath Kovind late evening.
As per sources a proclamation on this is expected to be issued by the President any time soon. The president's proclamation will declare that the powers of the Legislature of the State shall be exercised by or under the authority of Parliament, which was till now vested with the Governor of .
The Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Satya Pal Mallik has in a earlier to Union Home Ministry recommending for the President Rule in the state as the tenure of Governor's Rule is to end on December 19.
Under section 92 of its separate constitution being special status state, there is a provision of Governor's Rule for six months and its Governor assumes all power of governance, administration and legislative during that period. However, after the completion of six month of Governor rule, President's Rule has to be imposed which will commence from midnight of Dec 19-20.
Earlier Mr. N N Vohra headed the administration, who was then replaced by Mr Satya Pal Malik as Governor on August 23.
Mr. Malik had dissolved the Legislative Assembly on November 21 following claims and counter-claims by PDP President Mehbooba Mufti and People's Conference chairman Sajjad Lone of majority in the Assembly.
Jammu Kashmir had witnessed the longest spell of President's rule for nearly six years from 1989 to 1996 as the then Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah had resigned in 1989 after the appointment of Jagmohan as new Governor of the state.
