Nov saw 4,276 less Covid cases in JK than Oct

Srinagar 4 Dec: The number of Covid19 cases in and have declined in the month of November in comparison to the cases registered in the month of October, government data reveals.

 

As per the daily Covid19 figures provided by the government, the number of Covid19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir in the month of October was 19,715, where as in the month of November 15,439 Covid19 cases were registered.

 

Which means November saw 4,276 less Covid19 cases as compared to the previous month.

 

The data reveals that by the end of October, the total number of positive cases in JK was 94785 among which 6419 were Active positive cases, 86888 had recovered.

 

Moreover, out of 2303954 test results available, 2209169 samples had tested as negative till the end of October.

 

By the end of November, the total number of positive cases in J&K was 110224 among which 4965 were Active Positive, 103565 had recovered.

 

As per the figures, out of 3014877 test results available, 2904653 samples had been tested as negative till the end of November.

 

In terms of fatalities, November saw the least number than the month of October. 216 people lost their lives due to the virus in November, a notable decrease from October's 297 deaths.

 

Pertinently, Kashmir's first ever district wise SERO-survey of Covid-19 done by the government revealed antibodies of the disease in about 39% of the population in the Valley.
