JK reports 94 COVID cases, 1 dead

Tawi, Jan 23: The Govt on Saturday informed that 94 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus, 29 from Jammu division and 65 from division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 123946. Also 1 COVID death has been reported from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 88 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 23 from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 123946 positive cases, 1103 are Active Positive, 120914 have recovered and 1929 have died; 719 in Jammu division and 1210 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 4384771 test results available, 4260825 samples have been tested as negative till 23rd January, 2021.

Till date 1069683 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 34704 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1103 in isolation and 86619 in home surveillance. Besides, 945328 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Jammu has 24837 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 235 active positive cases, 24232 recoveries (including 12 cases recovered today), 370 deaths; Udhampur has 4193 positive cases 30active positive cases, 4106 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today)and 57 deaths; Rajouri has 3867 positive cases with 06 active positive, 3806 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)and 55 deaths; Doda has 3428 positive cases with 05 Active positive, 3359 recovered and 64 deaths; Kathua has 3252 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 3196 recovered and 51 deaths; Kishtwar has 2731 positive cases with 02 Active Positive, 2707 recoveries;22 deaths; Samba has 2826 positive cases with 75 active positive cases, 2711 recoveries and 40 deaths; Poonch has 2489 positive cases with 31 active positive, 2434 recoveries and 24 deaths; Ramban has 2130 positive caseswith05 active positive, 2104 recoveries and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1637 positivewith 09 active positive cases, 1613 recoveries and 15 deaths.

Similarly, Srinagar has 26005 positive cases (including 38 cases reported today) with 269 Active Positive, 25283 recovered (including 36 cases recovered today), 453 deaths; Baramulla has 8081 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 51 Active Positive, 7857 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today), 173 deaths; Budgam reported 7744 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 52 active positive cases, 7575 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 117 deaths; Pulwama has 5690 positive cases with 61 Active Positive, 5541 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today)and 88 deaths;Kupwara has 5640 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 45 Active Positive, 5500 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today), 95 deaths;  Anantnag district has 4873 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today)with 49 Active Positive, 4740 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 84 deaths;  Bandipora has 4685 positive caseswith25 Active Positive and 4599 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 61 deaths; Ganderbal has 4589 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 74 Active Positive, 4469 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today)and 46 deaths; Kulgam has 2689 positive cases (including 01 case reported today)with 37 Active Positive, 2598 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2560 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today)with37 active positive cases, 2484 recoveries and 39 deaths.
