Capacity building tour flagged in

A Capacity Building Tour (CBT) to Dehradun for 20 College Students of Government Degree College, Thanamandi was flagged in at Head Quarters Romeo Force, Palma by Maj Gen PS Bajwa, General Officer Commanding, Romeo Force. The ten days tour was flagged off on 04 Feb 2019 and has visited the premier training establishment of the country to include Indian Military Academy (IMA), Forest Research Institute (FRI) at Dehradun, Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy for Administration (LBSNAA), ITBP Officers Training Academy at Mussoorie, Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation, New Delhi.
The students were also taken to places of tourist interest to showcase the rich cultural heritage of our country like Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Cannaught Place, Gate, Sukhna Lake and Rock Garden at Chandigarh. The aim of the tour was to provide exposure to these young and vibrant students into various institutions of our country in forest research, civil administration and professional . During their visit the participants had the honour to interact with Hon'ble Governor of Uttarkhand, Padama Shri Milkha Singh, Kailash Satyarithi, Children Foundation and Senior Army Officers at Dehradun and New Delhi. The tour has surely motivated the students to excel in life through hard work in their studies and educated them about the avenues and opportunities available to them. While having visited the training institutes a spark has ignited in these budding youngsters to dream big and strive hard to achieve them. Army is involved in conducting activities focusing on youth empowerment as it believes that youth is future of the nation.
