Ashoora Holiday in JK moved to Aug 30

Tawi | Aug 28: Ashoora Holiday will now be observed in on Sunday, Aug 30, 2020 instead of Saturday, Aug 29, 2020 according to Govt order uploaded on JKGAD website vide number 798 of JK GAD 2020 dt. Aug 28, 2020.

The order reads, “In partial modification of Government Order No. 251-JK(GAD) of 2019 dated 27.12.2019, and Government Order No. 252-JK(GAD) of 2019 dated 27.12.2019, it is hereby ordered that the holiday on account of ‘Ashoora shall be observed on 30th August, 2020 (Sunday) instead of 29th August, 2020 (Saturday), in the Government Offices and educational institutions of the Union Territory of Jammu and .
