3 killed, 12 injured in separate Doda mishaps

Doda, Oct 23: Three persons were killed while twelve others were injured in two separate road accidents in Doda district of division on Friday.

A police official told that three persons were killed after a passenger cab, they were travelling in, fell into a deep gorge near Dedni Nallah in Doda.

He said that eight persons were also injured in the accident.

He identified the deceased as Ayoub Ahmed (driver of the vehicle) son of Sadiq Hussain, a resident of Dedhni, Ishtiyaq Ahmed son of Mohammad Akram, a resident of Sutla Dedhni and Om Raj son of Prem Lal, a resident of Hambal.

Thos who were injured were identified as Ram Prashad son of Gauri Singh, Manju Devi wife of Ram Prashad, Naiba Banu daughter of Ishtayaq Ahmed, Pratikhsha Thakur daughter of Ram Prashad, Suresh Kumar son of Kuldeep Singh, Gita Devi wife of Om Raj, Jamshedha Begum wife of Ishtiyaq Ahmed and a one-year-old baby boy-all residents kf Dedhni.

The official further informed that four persons were injured after a private vehicle, they were travelling in, rolled down into a gorge near Baboor area.

He identified the injured persons as 18-year-old Monika Devi, Mool Raj, Partap Singh and Guddy Devi-all resident of Jijjot Doda.
